My perspective
I believe it is the relationship that we co-create that is the transformative aspect of therapy.
I believe that my being present and compassionate with you makes a difference.
I also believe that to be truly present is to be real and authentic.
I will listen intently to your stories and the content of what you are sharing. I will let you know my perceptions, feedback, intuitions and opinions.
I believe you will find me to be an open, compassionate and non-judgmental man. Specifically, if LGBTQ life issues, polyamory, open-relationships and/or sexual kinks are something you are bringing to your therapy, you have found a therapist that is comfortable with all that. Therefore, you won't have to educate me nor deal with my disparate values.
Along with the specifics of your life, I will be focusing on your process in life and our process of relating. Participating in an intimate relationship where the intention is on healing and intimacy, as it is in therapy, is life-changing.
Most clients come in wanting to have a more satisfying and meaningful life. Through the intimacy and focus within our therapeutic relationship that happens for most clients.
Life can be hard and it can be joyous. Learning to discharge and metabolize our emotional response to what life hands us will make it easier to be present and to creatively respond to our world. Therapy helps with that.
